Mariel Rodriguez Transfers to TV 5

It's official. Mariel Rodriguez, one of the hosts of the ABS-CBN noon time show is gonna jump over da bakod to TV 5. She acknowledge that it's ABS that gives her break and the exposures that made what she is now.

Rodriguez humbly acknowledged the fact that ABS-CBN played a big role in her career. In line with this, she also took the opportunity to thank everyone in the Kapamilya network.

Among the notable people she cited were ABS-CBN Chairman Gabby Lopez, President Charo Santos-Concio, Channel Head Cory Vidanes, TV Entertainment Head Linggit Tan and Corporate Communications Head Bong Osorio.

She also extended her sincerest gratitude to director Lauren Dyogi and "King of Talk" Boy Abunda who paved the way towards her big break.

“Direk lauren was the one who interviewed me when I was still in channel 7. Then direk lauren got me in his unit. I remember what tito boy told me when he said I was going to do pbb (Pinoy Big Brother)... Tito boy said 'mariel its not a lot of money but you are gna get the exposure of a lifetime' that's what tito boy told me. I never forgot.”

Rodriguez admitted that leaving ABS-CBN was a tough choice for her.

“This is the hardest decision I've ever had to make. The hardest,” she said.

However, she explained, “Sometimes there are things that u don't exactly want to do but have to do in order to grow.”

Despite her leaving, Rodriguez reiterated that she will always consider ABS-CBN as her home.

“Abs is home. I don't like saying goodbye. I'm hopeful that one day I will see them all again. I grew up in abs. They made mariel rodriguez. Thank you abs-cbn. Thank you for the wonderful years!

Cristine Reyes Goes Back to Work after 2-Week Confinement

Cristine Reyes has been admitted to the hospital for 2 weeks. At first, it was thought that it's a dengue fever but it was not. There have been rumors also that it was meningitis but there have been no confirmation if it's true.

After 2 weeks of confinement, sexy and sultry actress Cristine Reyes is now back to work. She went for a pictorial for a magazine and when asked about her illness, she just said she's overworked.

Cristine said the number one advice from her doctor is "bawal magpuyat". But with the nature of her work, that's inevitable. Now, she's doing first her movie and she'll do Reputasyon next, her afternoon show with ABS-CBN.

Kristine revealed that her boyfriend Rayver Cruz really took good care of her while she was sick and she appreciate it very much.

Vice Ganda Disclosed He has a Boyfriend in Real Life

Vice Ganda, famous host of the ABS-CBN morning show, Show Time revealed in an interview that he has a boyfriend in real life. But he doesn't want to divulge the indentity of his boyfriend. He just hinted the his boyfriend is into sports.

Vice Ganda revealed that he's very careful with men wanting to get close to him.

"Ngayon, natatakot na 'kong talaga. Kasi, feeling ko, any time, magagamit.

"Siguro padala ni ano 'to para kaibiganin ako, i-close ako. Ibigin ako.

"Sa dami ng naghahangad sa akin ng masama, ang dami ko na rin na ganoon," said Vice Ganda. He said that when he's into a relationship, he's all out in giving his heart and wallet. He also revealed that the most expensive gift he has given to a guy is a motorcycle.

Maja Salvador, Linked to Direk Paul Soriano, Toni Gonzaga's BF

Maja Salvador starred in an Indie film Thelma which is directed by Paul Soriano, Toni Gonzaga's boyfriend in real life. There are rumors now linking her to Paul Soriano. But Toni Gonzaga herself denied the issue and clarified that she and Maja are friends. Maja explained that there's no truth about the rumor andthere's no problem between the three of them (Toni, Paul Soriano & Maja) because they know the intrigues are not true.

Director Paul Soriano on the other hand is upset about the issue linking him to Maja Salvador. But Toni Gonzaga is very secured with Director Paul Soriano's love for her. Toni said that her boyfriend does not give her reasons to doubt about him.

Lorna Tolentino Tansfers to TV5

Lorna Tolentino, a cast of the newly ended soap opera of ABS-CBN "Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin" decided to transfer to the Kapatid network, TV 5. Her transfer to TV5 was the reason why she did not renew her contract with ABS-CBN. Her reason for transferring is not about money but for more working days which means more exposure. She also wants to maximize her time and talent so she signed for an exclusive contract with TV5 starting October.

She revealed that she doesn't want a repeat with what happened to her in the Kapamilya Network wherein she was promised with 2 teleseryes and 2 movies in two years time but only did 1 teleserye and 1 movie. The offer of TV5 is more attractive than the offer of ABS-CBN. Good luck Miss LT. You are a good actress so wherever you are, you will really shine.

John Lloyd Cruz and Toni Gonzaga are SM Cinema's Box Office King and Queen

SM cinema executives honored John Lloyd Cruz and Toni Gonzaga as Box office King and Queen respectively during the Cinema Expo held at SM Mall of Asia. In SM cinema's data, the movie My Amnesia Girl is the top grossing locally produced movie in 2010 based on the movies screened from January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2010.

Toni expressed gratefulness for being conferred the title. "Nagpapasalamat tayo sa SM dahil 70 percent ng mga cinemas ng Pilipinas ay pag-aari ng SM. Malaking bahagi ito ng pelikulang Pilipino. Nagpapasalamat tayo sa karangalan na ito", said Toni.

Kapuso Actor Paulo Avelino Jumps Over Kapamilya Network

Startruck graduate Paulo Avelino has officially transferred Kapamilya network, ABS-CBN. He reportedly signed an exclusive contract with ABS-CBN last August 15, 2011. He will be an addition to the roster of stars at Kapamilya Network.

When asked why he transferred to the ABS-CBN, he said he wants to reinvent himself as an actor and want to explore out of his comfort zone.

If given the chance, he would like to work with Kim Chiu and Coco Martin. ABS-CBN reported that Paulo feels excited. "Exciting, kinakabahan, at masaya at the same time,"said Paulo in a report. Well, goodluck to you Paulo. May your star shines brighter that you are now an official Kapamilya star.

Robin Padilla and Mariel Rodriguez Wedding not Real?

"Walang Kasalang Naganap", said Robin Padilla regarding his so much publicize wedding with Mariel Rodriguez in Baguio City. Robin Padilla explained that they are artists and that they are having an upcoming show which he did not elaborate the details yet.

But it created a lot of confusion since it was already reported on ABS-CBN news. Mariel's grandmother also cried on TV because they were not informed about the said wedding. Reports also said that there's no marriage certificate record in Baguio City and Benguet.

If there's no marriage contract, then it must have been really a fake marriage and just a gimmick or promotion for their upcoming show.

Robin Padilla's Statement on his Wedding with Mariel Rodriguez

A lot were shocked by the news that Robin Padilla and Mariel Rodriguez are already married. Even Boy Abunda, Mariel's manager was as shocked as most people who are waiting for the development of their relationship. Others also have anticipated it already since the two looks head over heels in love with each other.

Robin Padilla made a statement over his wedding with Mariel Rodriguez saying, "Ang mga naganap sa lupa ng mga Cariño sa Baguio ay isa lamang sa mga nagaganap na yugto sa aming pag-ibig at sa nalapit na programa sa ABS-CBN.

"Walang dapat ipangamba ang mga kapatiran, kababayan at katribo sapagkat ang pagsunod namin ay sa Islam, ang pagpupugay namin ay sa Kristiyanismo, at ang pakikiisa namin ay sa kultura at tradisyong Pilipino."

The two will be having a sitcom in ABS-CBN. I hope their union will last, given the nature of Robin Padilla who is a huge magnet for girls and a known womanizer.
